Ivan Franko is the principal of Ivan S. Franko Architect (ISFA), a firm founded in 1997 that specializes in institutional, multi-residential and commercial projects. ISFA has fostered a diverse set of institutional clients, and has developed skills in understanding client requirements, establishing accurate budgets and appropriate timelines, while bringing meticulous attention to the proper detailing of retrofit projects. Particular areas of specialization include barrier-free access, renovation of multi-family residential buildings, and the design of office interiors.
Ivan’s role is to guide all design phases, to review all tender documents, and to provide oversight for contract administration and close-out documents.
Nnamdi Anombem commenced work with Ivan S. Franko Architect in 2016 before embarking on an exemplary career at PG Design Studios in Waterloo, and IFAB Engineering Partners in Cambridge, Ontario. Nnamdi rejoined ISFA in 2024 as an Associate Partner. He is a talented designer and BIM expert, and is a registered architect with the Ontario Association of Architects.
Nnamdi possesses over twenty years of experience in the design and construction industry, and has a firm understanding of current construction practices, and an excellent working knowledge of the Ontario and National Building Codes. He is proficient with procedures and principles of construction projects, including architectural design, construction drawings, bid analysis, contract administration, and project management. Nnamdi is currently an active member of faculty at Fanshawe College in London, Ontario, teaching Architectural technology and BIM Management in the Donald J. Smith School of Building Technology.
Patrick Padilla has worked with ISFA since 2009. He combines an excellent design sensibility with an ability to work efficiently and accurately. Patrick studied architecture at Mapua University in the Philippines, and received a Diploma in Architectural Technology at George Brown College in Toronto. Patrick joined ISFA shortly after graduation as a junior technologist, and has steadily worked his way up through intermediate and senior roles, taking on increasingly more difficult challenges. Patrick is now a lead designer for projects of all sizes, and is proficient at highly detailed technical solutions. He excels at collecting data and analyzing site conditions.
Patrick finds creative and practical solutions to design challenges, heads up the production of construction drawings, coordinates with subconsultant engineers and specialists, and works effectively in guiding multi-disciplinary team members to attractive and comprehensive design solutions.
James Kang has worked with ISFA since 2014, and is a graduate of the architectural technology program at the Humber Institute of Technology in Toronto. James started at ISFA as a junior technologist and has proven to be a skilled designer and project manager. He now works independently in senior roles, and his thoroughness in reviewing construction projects is exemplary.
James independently designs barrier-free accessibility projects, and skilfully coordinates structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering subconsultants. He has experience on numerous multi-residential accessibility projects which he carries out with diligence and reliability. James documents the site conditions, carries out schematic design and design development, provides fully coordinated construction drawings and specifications, and proficiently takes the lead for contract administration and reviewing all close-out documents.
Sadaf Zehra is an internationally trained architect who joined ISFA in 2023. She is a graduate of NED University in Pakistan, and has an interior design certification from Sheridan College in Oakville. Sadaf is an IPLAN graduate from Toronto Metropolitan University, and is actively pursuing registration with the Ontario Association of Architects.
Sadaf is highly skilled in conceptual designs with the ability to translate them into fully developed architectural solutions. She has worked on numerous residential, commercial and institutional projects, and has independently designed and project managed many barrier-free accessibility and multi-residential renovations.
Ikenna Chinweokwu, serving as a Senior Associate at ISFA since 2022, brings extensive expertise as a seasoned designer and a certified Project Manager with over 15 years of progressive experience in institutional, residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Holding a master's degree in architecture from the University of Nigeria, Ikenna is actively pursuing registration as an architect with the Ontario Association of Architects.
Possessing a comprehensive understanding of the Ontario Building Code, Ikenna combines innate design sensibility with a high level of efficiency and accuracy, enabling him to excel in addressing design challenges. He plays a pivotal role in leading the production of construction drawings and demonstrates effective collaboration within project teams. Ikenna's commitment to ongoing professional development and registration underscores his dedication to the architectural field.
